With the acquisition of the panificadora Vel Pitar, Grupo Bimbo reported that it had arrived in Romania.

It is not a coincidence that the biggest panificator on the global scale has arrived in Romania.

The Mexican corporation under the leadership of Daniel Servitje, who assumed the company’s presidency in 2013, has a firm commitment to internationalization that is constant but unhindered.

The panificadora Vel Pital, founded in 1999, has approximately 1,058 workers and ten bakers in Romania. Also, it has a diverse portfolio that includes more than 12 well-known brands of tin cans and other product varieties.

The company is ranked first in the freshness category, if that counts for anything. The Vel Pitar brands that stand out the most are French Toast, Gru Întreg, and Chef Gourmand.

Vel Pitar joins the EMEA organization under the direction of Jose Luis Saiz, who reports to the general operational direction.
