Threads, Meta’s upcoming «Twitter killer» program, is available with a cheat code
Threads, Meta’s upcoming «Twitter killer» program, is available with a cheat code.
The release of Threads comes at a crucial time for Twitter, whose owner Elon Musk has made modifications to the social network that have alienated some users and chased away advertisers. Musk’s move to recently curb usage for some free members, limiting free accounts to reading 600 tweets each day, sparked a strong criticism.
Because it is anticipated that many users would switch from Twitter to the new social media platform, Threads, some users are referring to it as a «Twitter killer» on social media.
Where can I find a cheat code?
The cheat codes are «Thread» or «Threads,» which you type into Instagram’s search field.
When you do that, a red «Admit One» ticket will go to your search box and show on your screen in that color. When you click on the ticket, a webpage with a countdown clock will open (the contest finishes on July 6 at 10 a.m. ET). A QR code is also present.
You can access the download page for the app on the Apple Store by scanning the QR code.
Is this a Twitter clone of Meta?
Although the program is marketed as an Instagram alternative, the screenshots displayed in Threads’ program Store listing appear to be from Twitter rather than the video and photo-centric Instagram.
According to the website’s description, Threads is a place where you can «follow and connect directly with your favorite creators and others who love the same things.»
