The NFL and the Chiefs benefit $331.5 million from Taylor Swif
The head of Apex Marketing Group, a company that provides advertising and branding consultancy services, argues that the combination of a well-known NFL player and a music icon makes for an ideal scenario.
The NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs have benefited financially from Taylor Swift’s relationship with tight end Travis Kelce to the tune of $331.5 million, according to data from Apex Marketing Group, a firm that specializes in branding and advertising consulting services.
Kelce, who has acknowledged admiring the Fearless singer, started dating the pop sensation towards the end of the previous year.
According to Eric Smallwood, Taylor Swift’s attendance at Chiefs games in the team’s colors and bearing Kelce’s name increased the influence of the media and helped this forecast from a business standpoint.
Smallwood mentioned which is part of the tracking they do as an advertising and branding consultancy to determine the economic impact generated.
«Any mention or visual photograph of Taylor Swift linked to the Chiefs or the NFL goes. If the Chiefs are mentioned with Taylor in an article, then there’s a connection. If there’s a photo of her in the suite during the Chiefs game wearing a Chiefs jersey, that’s also a hit,» he stressed.
The question at hand in this story is if Taylor Swift will attend Super Bowl LVIII, which is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11th. The singer has a concert in Tokyo, Japan, one day before to the event as part of her The Eras Tour.
The star’s staff plans for her to board her private aircraft as soon as her presentation is over and head to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to cheer on Kelce, arriving ahead of schedule.
