Banorte makes it into the top 5 best companies for women

Banorte was listed as one of the top five organizations in Mexico for women to develop professionally their careers ranked by the Great Place To Work organization.

The organization was assessed for social welfare, pay parity, potential for internal advancement, and gender fairness, among other factors, according to a news statement.

The inclusion of Banorte, in the category of companies with more than five thousand employees, is a reflection of the progress we work for every day in terms of gender equity, as well as inclusion in any position, talent has no gender,» stated Alejandra Abrego Robles, the banking group’s director of talent acquisition and organizational atmosphere.

Banorte currently has 32 thousand workers in the country, and implements a set of practices and initiatives with the objective of providing equal opportunities, such as the diversity and inclusion strategy, with which it seeks to create a culture that promotes innovation, growth and competitiveness.

It also promoted the creation of workshops and whistleblower channels to ensure that there is no gender discrimination in any area of the institution.

On March 16, Banorte and the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) announced the traditional announcement for the placement of its first three sustainable bonds, which will have a value of 13.64 billion pesos.

These bonds will be destined to finance projects that promote the generation of renewable and environmentally friendly energies such as solar and wind energy.
