Grupo Carso, owned by Carlos Slim, issues debt for 10,000 billion pesos
Grupo Carso, a conglomerate, said on Monday that it has successfully issued Certificados Bursátiles on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) for a total of 10 billion pesos, or around 600 million USD.
Carlos Slim’s company detailed in a statement that the issuance took place on Friday, May 24.
“This is the first issue that Grupo Carso has made at a fixed rate, in addition to being the largest joint amount that the company has placed,” the statement said.
These certificates were issued in two transactions: GCARSO 24, with a three-year variable rate for US$270 million; and GCARSO 24-2, with a seven-year fixed rate for almost US$330 million.
