Amazon reports that July 16 and 17 will be Prime Day
Amazon revealed on Tuesday that July 16 and 17 would see the return of Amazon’s Prime Day blockbuster discount extravaganza.
According to Amazon, the event will include millions of offers, much as in years past, with fresh discounts being released «as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event.»
The business said that members of its Prime subscription club would be able to seek an invitation to take advantage of discounts on products that usually sell out quickly during the return of invite-only sales. Last year, it started offering Prime members access to invite-only sales.
Other merchants, which frequently have rival events around or around Prime Day, also benefit greatly from the event in terms of sales. Target said on Tuesday that it will have a weeklong sale from July 7 to July 13, while Walmart on Tuesday announced its own «Walmart Deals» event, which runs from July 8 through July 11. From July 15 to July 17, Best Buy is also having a «Black Friday in July» sale.
According to Adobe Analytics, during Amazon’s Prime Day event last year, overall online sales in the United States reached a record $12.7 billion, surpassing the amount of $11.9 billion in 2022. During the two-day sale, Amazon claimed to have sold 375 million products, an increase from 300 million in 2022.
