Starlink informs the Brazilian authority that it would not adhere to the suspension of X
Brazil’s telecommunications regulator Anatel was informed by Elon Musk-owned satellite internet provider Starlink that it will not follow a court decision to prohibit social networking site X in the nation until its local accounts are unfrozen.
After its CEO, Carlos Baigorri, informed Globo TV that Anatel had received a message from Starlink, which has more than 200,000 clients in Brazil, and had referred it to Brazil’s top court, Anatel verified the information to Reuters on Monday.
Last week, billionaire Elon Musk’s company X was ordered to shut down by Brazilian telecommunications providers by Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes due to the company’s lack of a Brazilian attorney.
