Executive: BYD has not delayed its decision regarding the Mexico plant

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD “has not postponed any decision” on the factory it intends to build in Mexico to serve the local market, a company executive said Tuesday.
“We continue to work to build a factory with the highest technological standards for the Mexican market, not for the U.S. market, nor for the export market,” BYD’s regional head for the Americas, Stella Li, said in a statement.
Bloomberg News reported earlier that the company had paused its investment in the country until after the November U.S. elections.
