OpenAI is thinking about charging extra for its chatbot’s premium subscribers
OpenAI executives discussed higher-priced subscriptions for upcoming large language models, such as Strawberry, focused on reasoning, and a new flagship LLM model called Orion, The Information reported Thursday.
In early internal conversations at OpenAI, subscription prices of up to $2,000 per month were discussed, the report said, citing a person with direct knowledge of the numbers.
ChatGPT Plus currently costs $20 per month.
