Jordan finally finds buyer for his mansion after 12 years on the market
Michael Jordan found a buyer for his luxury mansion in Highland Park, just outside Chicago, after the residence had been for sale for more than 10 years.
Jordan listed the 10,000-square-foot mansion for sale for $29 million in March 2012 and repeatedly lowered the price when he failed to find a buyer.
Within a year and a half, the mansion’s price dropped from the $29 million to $21 million, and then to $16 million, according to data from home-selling platform Zillow.com.
The home is classified as «under contract» on U.S. real estate platforms after a 12-year wait. There’s still no word on the asking price.
When Jordan was a member of the Chicago Bulls, he constructed this property. According to real estate website Redfin.com, the property boasts 17 bathrooms, 9 bedrooms, a tiny golf course, a basketball court, a swimming pool, and a 14-car garage.
