Kimberly Clark’s sales grow 4% due to exports
The hygiene products firm, Kimberly Clark, announced a 4% increase in revenue for the third quarter of the year.
The firm said that its net sales from July to September were 13,155 million pesos, compared to 12,673 million pesos in the same time last year in its quarterly report filed to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV).
Sales of consumer goods and Away From Home increased by 1% and 2%, respectively, according to the study.
In the meanwhile, master roll sales contributed considerably to the 25% surge in exports.
Conversely, EBITDA increased by 1% to Ps. 3.465 billion from Ps. 3.429 billion in the prior year.
Its gross profit grew two percent to Ps. 5,212 million. This was due to the fact that, compared to the previous year, pulp and resins compared negatively, while fibers for recycling, superabsorbent materials, fluff and energy performed favorably.
Kimberly Clark emphasized that it continues to invest in making its logistics operations more efficient. Among the brands it currently markets are Huggies diapers, Kleen Bebé, Evenflo, and toilet paper such as Cotonelle and Pétalo.
