Tesla intends to launch robotaxis with teleoperator backing
Tesla intends to launch its robotaxi service with a company-owned fleet supported by human tele-operators for safety, Deutsche Bank said in a note following a meeting with the company’s head of investor relations.
The electric car manufacturer is still planning to debut its cheapest vehicle in the first half of next year, followed by other models later in the year, the bank said following the discussion with the investor relations chief.
According to Deutsche Bank, Tesla wants to offer robotaxi services in California and Texas next year. Tesla established the objective earlier this year.
