Between 2025 and 2027, Grupo Modelo plans to invest $3.6 billion in Mexico

Grupo Modelo, a brewery, said Thursday that it will invest over 3.6 billion dollars in Mexico between 2025 and 2027, according to Raúl Escalante, the company’s vice president of corporate affairs.
According to the executive, the money would be used for recycling programs, plant renovations, and collaboration with regional suppliers.
Marcelo Ebrard, the Secretary of Economy, clarified that the funds that Modelo will allot are a portion of the almost $300 billion that was pledged to investments in the second-largest economy in Latin America overall throughout Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration (2024–2030).
He promised that the US tariffs had not resulted in the cancellation of any projects in an investment portfolio for that period.
Anheuser-Busch Inbev ABI.BR, a Belgian conglomerate, owns Modelo, which makes its namesake beer and brands like Corona, Victoria, and Pacífico.
