Consolidating trade relations with the United States is the primary difficulty, according to Carlos Hank González

Consolidating economic connections with the United States will undoubtedly be the primary problem facing the Mexican economy in the upcoming years, according to Carlos Hank González, president of Grupo Financiero Banorte.
“We are going through a moment in which the conditions for trade between the United States and its most important partner, Mexico, are being renegotiated.
“The challenge will be to consolidate our relationship as a trading partner with the US, Canada and the rest of the world. This has been an important driver of Mexico’s development. And the challenge, in the short and medium term, will be to ensure that we have a good relationship in that sense,” said Carlos Hank Gonzalez.
As part of nearshoring, he said, Banorte has to be the bank that gives access to Mexicans and international investors who want to bet on the country.
“So, nearshoring is not only an extraordinary opportunity for Mexico, but also for Banorte, and we have to be the ones who can make the most of this opportunity in Mexico,” he said.
The Chairman of Grupo Financiero Banorte stated that the coordinated work between the Government and the private sector must be the formula for the country’s growth for the rest of the year and the six-year term.
“It is a government that has proven to be very close to the business community, that understands the importance that the business community has in promoting growth in Mexico, as our President and her entire team have shown.”
