Levi’s parent company to sell Dockers to Authentic Brands for $311 million

In order to concentrate on its flagship Levi’s brand and Beyond Yoga sportswear line, Levi Strauss announced in October that it would sell its underperforming Dockers apparel brand to Reebok and Van Heusen owner Authentic Brands Group for $311 million.

This move would allow Levi Strauss to increase sales through its full-price direct-to-consumer stores (regular price without any markdowns or discounts).

Dockers products accounted for 5% of its net revenues in each of fiscal years 2024, 2023 and 2022, according to company documents.

The sale is expected to be finalized by the end of July for the U.S. and Canadian operations, with the remaining global operations closing in January 2026.

The company plans to use $100 million of the cash proceeds to repurchase shares.
