Lafferty Group: Banorte is the best bank in Mexico

Using 21 metrics, such as financial performance, financial inclusion efforts, environmental responsibility, and stakeholder relations, the ranking assesses the performance of 1,000 banks located in 100 different countries worldwide. Lafferty Group rated Banorte with four stars, highlighting its strength in one important metric: customer focus.

Carlos Hank González, Chairman of the Board of Grupo Financiero Banorte, commented: «We are thrilled to be recognized as the best bank in Mexico, and one of the top 20 in the world. Even in complex times, Mexican companies, and especially Banorte, remain strong and compete globally.

Each bank’s annual report was examined for the evaluation since it serves as the primary means of communication and responsibility for banking organizations to their stakeholders, including shareholders, workers, customers, and regulators.

The “Lafferty 1000 global banking database” was first published in Lafferty Group’s new digital magazine, The Statement, and one of its key findings is that banks in several emerging markets, such as South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Turkey and Mexico, with Banorte, were the best rated.
