OpenAI will offer ChatGPT to US government agencies for a fee of one dollar

OpenAI, a technology firm, declared on Wednesday that it will offer its ChatGPT corporate service to US federal government agencies for one dollar over the next year to assist them in “working better.”
The AI company announced that, following a deal with the US General Services Administration (GSA), ChatGPT Enterprise “will be available to the entire federal executive branch at essentially no cost.”
Moreover, the note states that OpenAI will offer federal agencies unlimited access to its models and advanced features like Deep Research and Advanced Voice Mode for an extra 60 days.
The agreement aims to align with the AI Action Plan of the Trump administration, which was unveiled by the White House in late July and seeks to expedite the use of these technologies in the public sector.
In June, OpenAI obtained a $200 million contract from the Department of Defense for the use of its AI tools and announced a partnership with Anduril to create systems for “national security missions.”
