The Taiwanese tech firm Hon Hai, recognized worldwide as Foxconn, declared a $168 million investment in Mexico as part of its AI (artificial intelligence) server production expansion.

Foxconn announced on Monday, via a statement sent to the Taipei Stock Exchange where it is listed, that it will increase its investment in its Mexican subsidiary FII AMC Mexico by $168 million through one of its Singaporean subsidiaries.

This operation supplements a comparable investment from August 2024, during which the Taiwanese company funneled $241.2 million into its Mexican subsidiary via the same channel.
