Walmart and OpenAI collaborate on the ChatGPT shopping service
Walmart said on Tuesday that it has partnered with OpenAI to enable Sam’s Club members and consumers to shop directly on ChatGPT through the Instant Checkout function of the AI-powered chatbot.
Following the news, Walmart’s stock increased by about 3% in early trade on Tuesday.
This alliance comes after OpenAI launched a similar relationship with Shopify and Etsy last month, which increased the shares of these online shops.
