Amazon plans to spend $3 billion on a Mississippi data center campus

In order to construct a new data center campus that would support cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies. Amazon has announced that it will invest at least $3 billion in Warren County, Mississippi.
According to the company’s estimates, the investment will support over 300 additional full-time jobs in the county and generate at least 200 new jobs at the Amazon data center facility.
According to a statement from Amazon, these chances will support thousands more jobs in Mississippi’s supply chain and construction industries. As well as roles for data center engineers, network specialists, operations managers, and security professionals.
The business stressed that this is the biggest private investment in Warren County’s history and comes after Madison County’s historic $10 billion commitment, which was revealed in 2024.
“Amazon’s $3 billion investment in Warren County will create lasting opportunities for Mississippi families and communities, building on our more than decade-long partnership with the Magnolia State.” Said David Zapolsky, Amazon’s director of global and legal affairs.
“We are investing in the people and communities that make Mississippi strong, from training more than 6,500 people through our workforce development programs to launching our new Warren County Community Fund, which will address community needs such as STEM education,” he added.
