The Mexican Grand Prix will create economic income of around $978 million dollars

The Mexican Grand Prix held this weekend will leave economic benefits for more than 978 million dollars in the Mexican capital, estimated this Sunday the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), Josefina Rodríguez.

The federal official said in a statement that the expected revenue from the event held from October 25 to 27, at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, will be 13.8% higher than that observed in its 2023 edition.

The head of the country’s tourism policy highlighted that this motor racing competition benefits close to 225,000 economic units in Mexico City, in which around one million people work.

In addition to strengthening industries such as hotel and cuisine, the event helps to create about 9,000 direct and indirect employment in Mexico’s capital.

The official stated that Mexico City expects to welcome around 238,000 tourists over this weekend of competition, a 2.8% increase over the previous year.

This forecast includes 55,000 foreign travelers, a 5.5% increase over 2023, demonstrating the Grand Prix’s rising appeal in international tourism.
