Banorte has been named by Institutional Investor as having the best financial sector in Latin America, with Carlos Hank González and his Board of Directors
The yearly ranking of Latin America’s executive teams, released by renowned American newspaper Institutional Investor, is regarded as the gold standard and the most significant gauge of investor confidence.
According to Institutional Investor’s methodology, Grupo Financiero Banorte (GFNorte) took first place in every category of the rating for financial companies in Latin America (except from Brazil). Carlos Hank González, the Chairman of GFNorte, was also honored as the Best Company Board of Directors in Latin America’s financial industry. Additionally, Banorte has established itself as one of Mexico’s Most Honored Companies for the second year in a row.
Based on the opinions of 1,105 investment experts from 508 financial services firms, the rankings were determined. Participants in the poll are tasked with rating the boards of directors, chief executive officers, chief financial officers, and those in charge of investor relations, as well as the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives of various organizations.
Following are the seven categories where Grupo Financiero Banorte ranked first in the financial industry rating for Latin America:
- Best CEO: Marcos Ramírez Miguel.
- Best CFO: Rafael Arana de la Garza.
- Best IRO (Investor Relations Officer): Tomás Lozano Derbez.
- Best IR Team: GFNorte.
- Best IR Program: GFNorte.
- Best ESG: GFNorte.
- Best Company Board of Directors: GFNorte.
Credibility, leadership, communication, and market and commercial acumen are just a few of the qualities evaluated in the various categories.
