Apple reveals that only a limited number of iPhone Duo units will be available in stores this Friday

On Wednesday, Apple revealed that a restricted quantity of its foldable iPhone Duo will be accessible for in-person customers when the product officially launches this Friday. After an initial online release that experienced stock depletion within minutes, causing delivery dates for certain purchasers to be delayed until January.
Apple launched its inaugural foldable phone in September, and experts anticipate it will quickly take over a specialized market where competitors like Samsung Electronics and Huawei Technologies have offered premium devices for years. Nonetheless, the iPhone Duo is a more intricate product compared to conventional «candy-bar» style iPhones. It includes a finely designed hinge that experts think may require Apple additional time to perfect for mass production.
“On Friday morning, our teams are eager to greet customers at Apple Stores to personally experience the iPhone Duo and the amazing variety of iPhones,” Apple noted in a statement. «Apple Stores will offer iPhone Duo in limited numbers for walk-in customers. And we are striving to deliver this groundbreaking product to customers as quickly as we can.»
According to Apple, the availability of walk-in units differs by country. In the United States, Australia, Canada, Mexico, and many areas of the United Kingdom and Europe, online pickup and limited walk-in purchases will be offered.
However, in different areas, iPhone Duo units will solely be accessible to customers who have previously bought them online. According to Apple, these consist of mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
In the Chinese-controlled territory of Macau, Apple has stated that the iPhone Duo will be available solely for walk-in customers, with a restricted stock.
