Mark Zuckerberg’s meta intends to compete against OpenAI and his GPT-4
Under Mark Zuckerberg‘s leadership, Meta Platforms Inc. is working to develop a new artificial intelligence system that will compete in the GPT-4 challenge against OpenAI, which is led by Sam Altman.
The release of Llama 2, Meta’s open-source artificial intelligence (AI) language model, in july marked the company’s entry into the field of IA. This model was distributed through Microsoft Corporation’s Azure services in order to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Alphabet Inc.’s Google Bard.
According to The Wall Street Journal, which cited knowledgeable sources on the subject, the next system aims to surpass Llama 2 in both capacity and performance in order to provide businesses with advanced tools for text generation and analysis.
According to the report, Facebook’s parent company intends to start training its rival against GPT-4 in 2024.
Previously, it was reported that Apple Inc. is also investigating artificial intelligence offerings comparable to ChatGPT and Bard, developing its own framework called «Ajax,» and testing a chatbot that some engineers refer to as «Apple GPT.»
