Amazon will hire more than 300,000 workers for the Christmas season

On Tuesday, Amazon declared its intention to recruit over 300,000 employees in the United States for the holiday season. Representing the first rise in seasonal hiring in three years, as the online retailer braces for a surge in orders.
Amazon, having added 250,000 employees this season over the last three years. Revealed it is recruiting for temporary, part-time, and full-time roles throughout all its primary U.S. operations during this time.
U.S. holiday sales growth is projected to increase by 4.2% compared to last year, exceeding $1 trillion this year. Based on the forecasts released last week by the National Retail Federation (NRF).
Beginning next year, temporary workers logging at least 30 hours weekly will get the health benefits provided to full-time permanent staff, Amazon stated.
Last week, retail giant Walmart broadened health benefits for its employees as increasing healthcare expenses burden Americans who are already dealing with a higher cost of living.
Amazon, which disclosed a limited number of job cuts in its retail sector earlier this month, stated it would compensate full-time workers a minimum of $20 per hour. With the average pay approaching nearly $24, whereas the typical hourly rate for temporary workers will be $20.
