CEMEX

The Cemex consortium announced a net profit of $407 million for the third quarter of 2026. Marking a 55% rise from the $264 million noted in the same timeframe last year, fueled by enhanced sales and better operating outcomes.

The cement firm, among the globe’s top producers of building materials, reported that its net sales from July to September hit $4.59 billion, marking an 8% rise compared to the previous year.

At the same time, its operating cash flow, or EBITDA—indicating earnings prior to interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization—increased by 12% to $990 million.

Its sales margin rose from 20.8% to 21.6%, marking a gain of 0.8 percentage points.

The company credited its results to the implementation of its «Cutting Edge» transformation initiative, increased prices, and a rise in consolidated cement volumes.

«Building on the ‘Cutting Edge’ initiative, we recorded another quarter of strong results and persist in advancing our strategic goals,» stated Jaime Muguiro, CEO of Cemex, in a press release.

The executive remarked that, even with an unstable macroeconomic environment, the company has upheld its strategy centered on transformation and operational efficiency.

For the year-to-date timeframe from January to September, Cemex’s net profit decreased by 25% to $982 million. Down from the $1.316 billion reported in the corresponding period of 2025.

Simultaneously, total sales increased by 10% to $13.203 billion, whereas EBITDA jumped by 22% to $2.802 billion.

In Mexico, Cemex reported a 16% increase in sales for the third quarter, reaching $1,299 million, fueled by increased cement demand.
