Mike Lynch,59, a successful British technology entrepreneur, has been found dead in the wreckage of a boat that crashed off the coast of Sicily.
The source, who wished to remain anonymous since the matter is delicate, claims that Lynch’s daughter Hannah is still missing. Lynch was one of the five victims recovered from the crash that the Italian coast guard had already recognized, according to a report from Sky News.
Lynch was one of the 22 guests on board the Bayesian superyacht that sank while docked in the little Italian coastal community of Porticello in the Palermo district. Lynch was reported missing on Monday.
Five remains have been found among the yacht’s debris, according to Salvatore Cocina, the chief of Sicily’s civil protection service, who confirmed this to NBC News on Wednesday. The chef Recaldo Thomas, an Antiguan-Canadian, is the sole person officially declared deceased by the authorities thus far.
