Limiting lodging for tourists to 50% of nights is unreasonable and anti-competitive: Airbnb

Airbnb stated that the limitation on the number of nights that it may offer lodging to visitors through platforms to 50% of the year is an anti-competitive and unreasonable regulation, following the Congress of the capital’s approval of the proposal last Thursday.
Airbnb said that «thousands of families and hosts who live in Mexico City will be affected.»
The Mexico City Congress stated at the time of ratification that the goal of the act is to lessen unfair competition with the conventional hotel sector.
