Taylor Swift sold 814,000 copies of her book in 48 hours
According to Circana Bookscan, the Eras Tour Book, which has over 500 images from singer Taylor Swift’s most recent tour, sold 814,000 copies in the United States in just two days.
The book went on sale on Black Friday, November 29, and based on sales on that day and Saturday 30, it is the second best-selling non-fiction work for adults in Circana’s history, trailing only Barack Obama’s autobiography ‘A Promised Land’.
However, the business highlights a «key difference» between the two books: Swift’s is exclusively available at Target, whereas Obama’s is available at all major bookstores.
‘The Eras Tour Book’, which costs $39.99, has outsold Prince Harry’s book ‘Spare’, which sold 620,600 copies in its first week.
The company also claims that no other book has sold as many copies in its first week this year, making it the best business start of 2024.
