Shein and Temu will boost prices under pressure from Trump’s trade restrictions

Temu, a Chinese online marketplace, and Shein, a fast-fashion retailer, will hike their prices next week as President Trump’s crackdown on low-value imports and sweeping tariffs drive up costs for companies known for their low-cost services.

In strikingly similar messages to their clients this week, both companies stated that they will hike prices beginning April 25 and encouraged shoppers to buy «now at today’s prices.»

Our operating expenses have increased due to recent changes in global trade rules and tariffs. According to their press release, in order to continue offering the things you love without sacrificing quality, pricing will be adjusted on April 25, 2025.
