Foxconn and Nvidia are discussing the deployment of humanoids at their AI server production facility in Houston

According to two people familiar with the situation, Foxconn and Nvidia, a U.S. artificial intelligence chipmaker, are in discussions to use humanoid robots in a new Foxconn facility in Houston that would manufacture Nvidia AI servers.
According to the sources, this would be Foxconn’s first AI server factory to deploy humanoid robots on a production line and the first time an Nvidia product is made with their assistance.
A milestone in the adoption of humanoid robots that have the potential to revolutionize manufacturing processes would be reached by a deployment, which is anticipated to be finished in the coming months.
In addition to testing humanoids manufactured by the Chinese business UBTech, Foxconn is working with Nvidia to develop its own humanoid robots. According to the sources, it is unclear what kind of humanoid robots would be used at the Houston factory, how many will be deployed initially, or what their appearance will be.
By the first quarter of next year, when Foxconn’s new facility in Houston starts producing Nvidia’s GB300 AI servers, the two companies hope to have the humanoid robots operational.
