COSTCO is set to launch the biggest store in Latin America, located in Escobedo, Nuevo León

Located on a 7-hectare site in the La Encomienda neighborhood, the new branch will have 20,000 square meters of floor space, of which 15,000 m² will be retail space with more than 5,000 products available to members. Its 35,000-square-meter parking lot will have more than 700 spaces and will also house COSTCO’s largest gas station in Mexico, with 30 service pumps, consolidating the company’s comprehensive model.
Mayor Andrés Mijes officially welcomed COSTCO Wholesale to Escobedo, Nuevo León, during the presentation of what will be the company’s largest store in Latin America. This $100 million project will mark an economic milestone for the Nuevo León Metropolitan Area and is focused on implementing actions aligned with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s Plan Mexico.
The project will immediately affect the economy. It is estimated that 350 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect jobs will be created, with the potential to reach 3,000 new sources of income when considering the spillover effects in transportation, supply, and local businesses.
