Alphabet shares fell more than 2% on Tuesday after OpenAI revealed ChatGPT Atlas, its own web browser, in a livestream. This was due to worries that it would compete with Google Chrome.

According to OpenAI, the browser will launch immediately on macOS and will soon be available on Windows, iOS, and Android.

ChatGPT, which can be used without switching windows or taking screenshots, allows users to engage with the browser more fluidly. It can observe what users are seeing.

Through their settings, users can archive or remove browser memories, which are optional.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated during the broadcast that ChatGPT Plus and Pro users will be the only ones able to access the Agent feature at first.
