During a strategic assessment, Warner Bros. Discovery amends CEO Zaslav’s contract

Warner Bros Discovery said Thursday that it has revised the employment contract of its CEO, David Zaslav, while the entertainment group conducts a strategic evaluation of its business.
Zaslav has consented to modify his June-signed retention agreements and non-qualified stock options as part of this process.
In the event of a «change of control,» the business stated that Zaslav’s contract will be extended until December 2030, with the exception of any sale of Discovery Global or all or nearly all of its assets.
According to the firm’s October report, Warner Bros. Discovery has been evaluating a number of options, such as a planned separation, a merger for the entire company, or separate transactions for its Warner Bros. or Discovery Global operations.
According to a person with knowledge of the situation, the first round of non-binding bids must be submitted by November 20.
Comcast, Paramount Skydance, and Netflix have reportedly investigated offers to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery entirely or in part, according to Reuters.
After the market closed, the company’s shares increased by 3%.
