OpenAI takes interest in Thrive Holdings to drive enterprise AI adoption

Open AI Thrive Holding

OpenAI announced Monday that it has purchased a stake in venture capital firm Thrive Holdings to accelerate the use of enterprise artificial intelligence (AI).

OpenAI will integrate its research, product, and engineering teams with Thrive Holdings’ firms to optimize their AI adoption and boost their profitability, according to a company statement.

OpenAI’s participation in Thrive Holdings will focus on accounting and information technology (IT) services, given these roles involve a high volume of labor, according to OpenAI.

The firms did not disclose the financial value of the agreement, which OpenAI believes would «serve as a model for companies and industries around the world to collaborate closely» with the technology firm.

According to its website, Thrive Holdings, which was established in April by one of its primary investors, Thrive Capital, runs companies «in critical sectors» where technology «can deliver strategic value to employees and customers.»

In the statement, OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap stated, «This collaboration aims to demonstrate what can be achieved when cutting-edge research and AI are rapidly deployed to revolutionize how companies work and interact with customers.»
