‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Surpasses the $1 Billion Mark in 6 Days
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the fourth installment starring Tom Holland as the young superhero. Reached the $1 billion mark in global box office revenue on Tuesday, becoming the second-fastest film to reach this milestone.
“Spider-Man” has grossed $1 billion at the global box office in just six days, according to reports from several industry publications on Tuesday morning. Reaching this milestone just one day after “Avengers: Endgame” did so in a record five days in 2019.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has exceeded expectations since its release on Thursday and has broken box office records along the way.
The “Spider-Man” film now holds the record for the highest-grossing domestic opening weekend in box office history. With $360 million (surpassing “Endgame’s” 2019 record of $357.1 million), and the all-time record for domestic advance ticket sales at $74.5 million (surpassing “Endgame’s” $60 million in advance sales).
It is also the fastest film to surpass $400 million domestically in four days and delivered the highest-grossing Monday in history with $46 million (breaking the record previously held by “Black Panther”).
