The Google Pixel 8 is now available
Following a constant stream of rumors, as well as Google’s own teasers, which left nothing to the imagination, Google has officially introduced the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and Pixel Watch 2.
The Pixel 8 Pro starts at $999 and comes with improved cameras and a brighter screen. In contrast, the Pixel 8’s base model has a display that is 6.2 inches smaller than the model it replaces. Both devices, which are now accessible for preorder, feature Google’s new Tensor G3 processor, Android 14 out of the box, and a commitment to seven years of OS updates.
As usual, the Pixel’s surprises are software features. The «Best Take» feature on the Pixel 8 enables you to change the appearance of persons who appear through AI using predefined options. Additionally, a better photo editor is included with the ability to alter particular details like the subject’s location or the sky.
Google will offer the Pixel 8 with Android 14 and explains that it promises up to 7 years of Android updates. Not of security, but of system. An extension that ensures the lifetime of the device.
