Tesla said that on November 30, it will deliver its first Cybertruck
With a long delay over the initial plans, more than four years after its accidental public presentation, Tesla will start delivering its first units of its Cybertruck electric pickup truck on November 30, as announced Wednesday by the company on the occasion of the presentation of its third quarter results.
In a conference call with analysts, Musk said he expects to deliver 250,000 units of the large model, which he described as revolutionary.
Scaling up production of the Cybertruck is the primary challenge that Tesla confronts, given its own warning that it will «require immense work to reach mass production, be cash-flow positive, and at a price that people can afford.»
«This is normal when you have a product with a lot of new technology, or any new vehicle program, but especially one as different and advanced as the Cybertruck,» Musk stated.
According to specialized websites like TechCrunch, the owner of Tesla also projects that it will take his electric vehicle around 18 months to turn a profit. In fact, the likelihood is that the corporation will need some time to turn it into a successful vehicle.
