The CEOs of Apple and Nvidia will be invited by Trump to travel with him to China

Semafor reported Thursday that the Trump administration will invite the CEOs of Nvidia, Apple, Exxon, Boeing, and other major companies to accompany the president on his trip to China next week.
According to the report, executives from Qualcomm, Blackstone, Citigroup, and Visa are also on the invitation list.
A person familiar with the matter confirmed that Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser was invited. Qualcomm confirmed the invitation but declined to comment further.
The White House, Visa, Nvidia, Apple, and Citigroup did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while Blackstone and Boeing declined to comment.
This announcement coincides with mounting expectations of possible agreements at Donald Trump’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing next week.
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg told Reuters in April that the business had the backing of the Trump administration to complete a significant, much anticipated order from China.
According to industry sources, China and the American aircraft manufacturer engaged in protracted negotiations for a contract that would involve dozens of wide-body jets and 500 737 MAX aircraft. Any announcement of this would be seen as a huge accomplishment for the leaders’ summit, as it would be Boeing’s first significant order from China since 2017.
