McDonald’s Joins the Stadium Market in the United States

The renowned restaurant chain’s first connection with a professional sports stadium in the US was announced on Wednesday when the Chicago Fire and McDonald’s announced a naming rights deal for the MLS team’s new stadium, McDonald’s Park.
According to the Fire, «McDonald’s and the Chicago Fire Football Club announced today a historic naming rights partnership that will enable the opening of the Major League Soccer club’s new privately funded stadium, named McDonald’s Park, valued at $750 million.»
The organization stated that McDonald’s Park will be a top sports and entertainment destination, situated at The 78, a prominent riverfront location in the center of Chicago.
«In its first naming rights partnership for a major professional stadium in the United States, McDonald’s will actively shape the experience at McDonald’s Park: from designing a flagship restaurant to bringing the McDonald’s brand to life through fan experiences, creative elements, and in-game moments, bringing together sports, food, culture, and community in a way that reflects Chicago and extends far beyond game days,» the statement stated.
