In order to promote hotels and companies in 2027, Mexico will develop a sports tourism calendar

In order to adapt the major national and international contests hosted in Mexico into tourist experiences that create activity. For hotels, restaurants, shops, and service providers, entrepreneurs in the fields of commerce, services, and tourism are creating a sports tourism calendar for 2027.
Project will be constructed in collaboration with the business chambers and tourism authorities of the nation’s states, according to Octavio de la Torre, head of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (Concanaco Servitur).
The goal is to first locate the current competitions or championships and then advertize all that each nearby location has to offer.
The idea came about as a result of the 4th World Sports Tourism Congress, which took place in Mexico City from September 7 to 9. Over 500 people from 30 different nations attended the event, making Mexico the first nation in the Americas to host it.
One of the Congress’s conclusions, according to De La Torre, was the necessity of making the most of amateur contests since they may inspire not only athletes but also coaches and families, creating economic activity in the host regions.
He mentioned, for instance, that spaces may be set up in conjunction with a competition to sell handicrafts. Provide hotel and restaurant discounts, or advertize the destination’s experiences and attractions using the tournament’s platforms.
