Carlos Hank González underscored the institution’s strength and vision during the National Banking Convention, noting that it has already become the second most profitable in the country.

Carlos Hank González, the Chairman of Grupo Financiero Banorte, made an enthusiastic announcement at the National Banking Convention regarding the institution’s achievement of securing second place in the Mexican financial system and its distinction as one of the country’s most profitable entities.

«For Banorte, 2024 was a very good year, extraordinary in every sense. We are already the second most profitable group in the Mexican financial system and we are very excited about that. We are going to be the best financial group in Mexico,» he said.

Hank González emphasized that Banorte’s success is based on its strategy of investing in innovation, as well as its approach deeply rooted in knowledge of the country.

Unlike other companies that view Mexico with skepticism, Banorte -being a Mexican institution- understands and values the economic potential of each region.

Hank González suggested three foundational elements for sustainable development: ensuring macroeconomic stability, leveraging structural reforms, and combating poverty and inequality.

He expressed confidence that Banorte would remain a key player in strengthening Mexico’s economy, looking ahead to 2025 with optimism. He concluded, “The future of the country is certain.”
