Linda Yaccarino, who was formerly CEO of Musk X, is now leading the digital health firm eMed

Linda Yaccarino

Nearly a month after departing from her role as CEO of social media platform X, Linda Yaccarino is set to assume the top position at eMed Population Health, a telehealth startup centered on GLP-1 weight-loss medications.

After two tumultuous years during which she attempted to rebuild the platform’s reputation with advertisers concerned about the content and the billionaire’s frequent controversial posts, Yaccarino, a seasoned professional in advertising, departed from X – owned by Elon Musk.

Although he lacks direct experience in the healthcare sector, he possesses extensive expertise in brand partnerships and digital revenue generation.

Gil Luria, an analyst at DA Davidson, highlighted that Yaccarino offers essential experience for consumer-focused digital platforms. The new category of apps, such as Hims and LifeMD, is centered mainly around the user experience.

Yaccarino’s expertise lies in the media, but a significant portion of his career has focused on building consumer engagement.

Founded in 2020, eMed is a Miami, Florida-based company that collaborates with employers and government payers to oversee the utilization of GLP-1 medications. These treatments for obesity and diabetes have costs that hinder wider insurance coverage.
