To increase production by 50%, Stellantis plans to invest $13 billion in the US

Stellantis, the parent company of brands such as Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge, will invest $13 billion in the United States over the next four years to increase its production by 50%.

The company announced in a statement that it will launch five new vehicles and 19 updated models over the next four years, creating 5,000 jobs at its plants in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.

The investment, the company’s largest in the US in 100 years, will allow for the reopening of the Belvidere, Illinois, assembly plant, for which it will allocate $600 million. Production of the Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Compass models will be increased at that plant starting in 2027.

A new pickup vehicle will be able to be assembled thanks to the $400 million investment in the Toledo, Ohio, plant.

After investing $100 million, Stellantis in Warren, Michigan, will create a new huge SUV with an electric version and a combustion engine.
