Profeco is recalling 7,900 Bronco SUVs

Ford Motor Company recalls 7,944 Bronco SUVs of various models have been recalled by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) due to operational flaws that could endanger drivers.
According to a statement from the government, 7,679 Bronco Sport models from the 2021–2024 model years are included in the initial recall.
This is because a high-pressure fuel injector in some of the impacted cars may rupture. Allowing fuel to build up in the engine’s top section and «thereby triggering a thermal event.»
The business claims that authorized dealers would install the new Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Software with fuel injector leak detection as it has been found that the vehicles lack it.
The left rear door can be opened from the inside when the child safety lock is engaged, «which increases the risk of injury to unrestrained passengers in the second row.» Which is another reason why 246 Bronco cars from the 2024 to 2025 model years have been recalled.
In this instance, both rear doors’ child safety locks will be inspected by authorized dealers; if any fails the examination, the panel will be replaced.
In all these cases, the Mexican government agency noted that Ford will inspect the affected vehicles. Perform the necessary software updates at no cost to the vehicle owners.
The recall campaign for these vehicles will remain in effect indefinitely.
