MG to build an electric car plant and research center in Mexico

MG Motor announced that it will establish a Research and Development Center in Mexico to produce combustion and electric vehicles for export to the Latin American market in addition to producing intelligence, in honor of the sale of its 150,000th unit since entering our country.
He clarified that SAIC has chosen to fortify its ties with Mexico and Latin America, even if he did not provide the dates of the business plans in the United States. 100,000 units would be assembled in the first phase of the Mexican manufacturing facility, which would be located in the Central or Bajío area.
SAIC, the parent company of MG, made a strategic bet on the Mexican market as well as Central America and the Caribbean by positioning itself as the sole Chinese brand in the Top Ten.
The CEO announced that the introduction of IM, the group’s luxury automobile brand, to the Mexican market is one of the initiatives being considered by MG in this new chapter.
Additionally, the construction of a car plant is expected to turn Mexico into a hub for MG Motor and SAIC Group expansion throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
