FIFA forecasts record revenue of $14 billion for the 2027–2030 cycle

FIFA forecast record revenue of $14 billion for the 2027-2030 cycle on Thursday. Highlighting the financial clout of the men’s World Cup. While President Gianni Infantino called for peace amid global geopolitical turmoil.
The projected revenue, unanimously approved by the FIFA Council as part of the organization’s 2025 annual report, will be reinvested in soccer.
Funding for development under the FIFA Forward program will reach $2.7 billion during the next cycle. An eightfold increase compared to the period prior to 2016.
“It’s not just about numbers, but about concrete results,” Infantino said, adding that the success of a World Cup translates into more opportunities for men’s, women’s, and youth players, improved infrastructure, and greater access to technology across all FIFA member associations.
FIFA stated that the World Cup continues to be its main source of income, enabling the reinvestment of what Infantino referred to as «unprecedented resources» in international development.
Infantino reaffirmed soccer’s significance in fostering unity as the budget estimates were made public.
«We are dedicated to using the power of soccer and the FIFA World Cup to build bridges and promote peace. As our thoughts are with those suffering as a result of ongoing wars, but FIFA cannot resolve geopolitical conflicts,» he underlined.
