OpenAI suggests giving the US government a 5% share

According to the Financial Times, OpenAI is in negotiations to perhaps give the Trump administration a 5% share in the business. As calls for the American people to profit from the unanticipated financial windfall enjoyed by AI businesses are gathering bipartisan support.

Citing two unidentified individuals, the Financial Times stated that the author of ChatGPT has held early negotiations with the U.S. government.

Although it’s unclear if any other businesses would agree, the idea, which OpenAI is allegedly promoting. Also calls for other American AI behemoths to give the government a 5% interest.
