Elon Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI is dismissed

In Elon Musk’s case against OpenAI, a U.S. jury found on Monday that the artificial intelligence firm is not accountable to the richest person in the world. For allegedly deviating from its initial goal of helping humanity.
The jury in Oakland, California’s federal court found unanimously that Musk had filed his case too late. Less than two hours were spent by the jury deliberating.
Many people saw the experiment as a turning point for OpenAI’s future and artificial intelligence in general. Both in terms of who should benefit from it and how it should be employed.
Musk’s lawyer stated after the ruling that he reserved the right to appeal. But the judge hinted that he could have a difficult time because there was a factual. Question as to whether the statute of limitations had passed before Musk filed the action.
Musk Lawsuit 2024
In his 2024 lawsuit, Musk claimed that OpenAI, its CEO Sam Altman, and its president Greg Brockman had deceived him into making a $38 million donation.
